The first baseball-themed restaurant in Taichung
has appeared near Taichung Central shopping mall. Combining
themed decorations, visual information and meals, this is
a place for baseball fans to meet and exchange information.
There are many baseball-related magazines, collector's cards,
posters, mascots, dolls, signed baseballs and many other collectibles
adorning the restaurant. Baseball games from around the world
are shown on TV and there is even a game schedule for fans
to keep updated with the latest matches. The meals are also
very interesting--all specially designed according to baseball
themes from different countries. There is the Taiwan Baseball
Delicate Set Menu, Japanese Baseball Popular Rice Dish, American
Baseball Popular Grilled Dishes (Noodles), and the American
Baseball Celebrities Hot Pot. The Taiwan Baseball Delicate
Set Menu offers a choice of different "teams": the
Sinon Bulls Meal (Beef Brisket in Tomato Sauce, NT$120), the
China Trust Whales Meal (Steamed Cod Fish with Rice, NT$120),
the Baseball Genki Meal (Super Pork Cutlet Rice, NT$140),
Celebrities Special Meal (Honey Chicken Leg Rice, NT$110)
and many others. The Japanese-style rice dishes come with
a choice of pork, beef, pork cutlet, eel and other items.
All dishes are not only baseball-themed but also very creative,
with very reasonable prices. In the evenings, this place transforms
itself into a laid-back lounge bar with many different activities
on offer, making it an ideal spot for either a drink with
friends or a quick bite to eat. |
