This cute dining establishment faces Peoples'
Square and is a few meters off of GongYi Road. The female
owners did all the decorating themselves and have added a
lot of creative touches, including the brown/gold tablecloths,
mirrors and mauve/dark-pink colored walls. There is seating
for about 40, downstairs and on the cozy second-floor area
which is already popular for private gatherings. The owners
are proud of their Chinese cuisine, but also serve some Western
dishes, like the NT$200 Chicken Cordon Bleu (optional pork),
Spanish Fragrant Fried Salmon with steamed rice (NT$150),
and NT$180 pasta dishes. Chinese dishes include Oolong Noodles
with Fresh Seafood (NT$90), Codfish in Fermented Soybeans
with steamed rice (NT$120), Cripsy Fried Chicken (or chicken
leg) with steamed rice (NT$120) and a some very good Handmade
Dumplings (NT$70). Main meals, available 11:30 a.m. to 2:30
p.m. and 5 to 8:30 p.m., come with a soup or hot or cold tea.
There are also hot pot ("chafing dish") options
(NT$150-180), salads, and plenty of snacks (NT$40-70), like
muffins, onion rings, french fries with cayenne pepper, and
calamari. Hot coffee is NT$70 and there are various teas,
"bubble" tea drinks (NT$60) and ice cream soda and
tea floats. |
