To deal with a non-stop flow of customers, the efficient wait staff here move swiftly about the restaurant. Throughout the interview for this article, the female owner never took her eyes off what was happening in her restaurant. Every so often, with her handbag clamped tightly under her arm, she would stand and yell across the restaurant with orders like, "Clear the tables first. There are no seats downstairs. Bring the customers up to the second floor!" The crowds here are testament to the good food, and the owner's serious attitude helps guarantee good service. Dang Guei mutton pot is NT$250 and Noodles with Goat Fat is NT$50. Two other very popular dishes, mutton Stir Fried with Spring Onions, and Stir Fried Goat Offal, are both NT$150. Stir Fried Goat Testicles are popular among male customers, with the testicles fried in sesame oil and prices varying according to season. This restaurant has takeout service available--just call in advance for an order of NT$600 or more and you can pick up your order without getting out of your vehicle. Even as I was preparing to leave, the owner--who just sat down, claiming she wasn't feeling too well--was already up on her feet cooking again.
