This neat-looking corner cafe doubles as a
bicycling club, thanks to owner and cycling enthusiast Terry
Lin, who keeps several of his high-end riding machines around
the cafe. Other cycling-related touches include a long post
outside for visiting riders to hang their bikes from, round
glass tables made from bicycle wheels and door handles made
from bike components. The relaxing, modern decor also features
a long white-topped coffee bar, chic white and red velvet
chairs (30 seats inside and 30 outside), and dark wood with
white highlights. The music includes jazz, Latin, bossa nova
and salsa. Visitors get wi-fi Internet access, too. Italian
illy coffee beans are used to brew up an extensive selection
of coffees and other creations, including a NT$90 Espresso,
NT$100 Espresso Macchiato or Romano, NT$150 Mexican Mocha
Cappuccino or, for ice cream lovers, a Cappuccino Sorbetto
(NT$140). Other drinks include juices and a good variety of
Belgian beers (NT$150-200), such as Chimay, Floris and Duvel.
For food, are NT$70 desserts like cheese cake, the Sacher
Torte and biscotti, with sandwiches, power bars and other
cycling energy foods coming soon. The cafe is at the corner
of DaYing and DaDun 13th streets, near the Dadun/GongYi roads
intersection. The entrance to DaDun 13th Street is directly
opposite the Tainan Danzu Noodle Restaurant on DaDun Road. |
