It is easy to miss Mei Su Guan if you don't look carefully while traveling along XiangShang South Road. Nevertheless, while the restaurant's decor is simple, its dishes are simply delicious. From food presentation to the carefully thought-out menu, everything is testament to the attention that the owner and chefs have put into this restaurant. Their goal is to give their customers the best there is and the menu changes according to the season. The autumn menu includes the owner's recommended Sushi Rice Ball (NT$35), Mushroom Ramen Noodles (NT$50), Mushroom Salad (NT$60), Cooked Lotus with Red Beans (NT$60), Baked Tomato with Miso (NT$50), Mushroom and Vegetable Pancake (NT$50) and Vegetarian Tempura (NT$70). Even more special is the Cooked Lotus with Red Beans, which uses lotus stalks first stuffed with red beans and then cooked. These have a slightly sweet flavor and work well as an after-dinner dessert. The Mushroom Salad is made from large Xing Bao Mushrooms that have been marinated overnight for a most intense flavor. For parties of five or more people, reservations are accepted and the chef will provide seven special dishes and one soup menu for you.
