America's favorite submarine sandwich chain
just opened its fourth branch in Taichung with a great location
on the corner of TaiZhongGang and JingCheng roads. The ordering
counter is actually inside the entrance to World Gym (in the
old Sogo II building) while the separate glassed-in seating
area faces JingCheng Road. Like all Subway outlets, the restaurant
provides a wide range of made-to-order six and 12 inch submarine
sandwiches, with a choice from five different breads (like
Parmesan Oregano) and all kinds of veggies and sauces. A sampling
of sandwiches includes Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki (NT$90
6-inch, NT$155 12-inch), Chicken Pizziola, and Turkey Breast
Ham Bacon Melt. There are also tasty, fresh-baked cookies
(NT$17), salads, soup and various drinks, from coffee to soda.
Take-out and delivery service is offered, with advanced notice
required for big orders (including the 45-180 cm "Party
Subs"). One nice thing about this outlet is its later
weekday closing time (10:30 p.m.). In October, look out for
opening specials and activities, too. |
