This place was once voted the most popular ice shop by local students. The owner explains that the shop name refers to the fact that, once people have tried the ice treats here, they will keep nodding their heads ("dian tou" meaning "nodding head") in agreement. The most famous dish here is the "Dian Tou" ice, which has a base of three kinds of seasonal fruits. Shaved ice is layered on top and a ball of sticky sweet purple glutinous rice is placed on top of that. This dish is creative and nutritious. Condensed milk and coconut syrup is dribbled on top for a Southeast Asian flavor. Another popular dish is the Mango Milk Ice. The best time for mangoes is during June, July and August, so this dish is only available for a limited period. Only the largest and best mangoes are selected. Although over 1000 kilograms of mangoes are delivered each time, they still manage to sell all of them, proving just how popular the dish is. Each plate is filled with a generous helping of mangoes, so that each mouthful is full of fruity flavors. The owner only sells what he likes to eat as a principle, and samples each type of dish beforehand, making sure of the quality. Strawberry Milk Ice, Sago with Taro, Red Beans Milk Ice and other items are also available for only NT$50.
