This restaurant is an excellent new addition
that serves mainly Yunnan and Guizhou style cuisine, challenging
gourmands' taste buds in the process. The specialty of Yun
Guei's cuisine is sour spiciness without the mouth-numbing
side effects. This special home-style cuisine hooks many diners
after their first try. Specially-made tofu has been prepared
for this restaurant, allowing it to advance from a supporting
dish to being the main character of the show. Whether it is
the Stinky Tofu or the Tofu Pot, the special texture and crispy
outer layer, combined with great value and even more amazing
flavor, never ceases to surprise customers. One of the two
main soup bases is made from various vegetables and chicken
bones. Though light to the taste, it maintains a full flavor,
and many people enjoy it on its own. The second one is a medicinal
soup base, which is sweet and suitable all year round. Try
combining it with the exclusive tofu here, only taking a bite
when the tofu has fully absorbed the soup, to allow the texture
and taste to linger on your palate. Don't forget the simple
bowls of noodles here, either. Handmade noodles are mixed
with fragrant spring onions and cilantro for a simple yet
flavorsome dish that goes down very easily and is an all-time
favorite. All dishes are reasonably priced between NT$40 and
NT$100.
