You will
definitely not feel like a stranger in this cozy little bar
when you receive your warm welcome from Lily, the owner. There
is no need to dress up when you come to Panther; the atmosphere
is very relaxed here. It is a place to chat, laugh and relieve
all your stress. This place caters mainly to those over the
age of 25. Beers are around NT$180. Whiskies range between
NT$2,500~5,000 per bottle and NT$180 per glass. Cocktails
are priced around NT$200. They also provide high quality food
dishes. Lily recommends the Crispy Roasted Pig Knuckle (NT$200)
and the Roasted Garlic Pork (NT$180). Both are specialty dishes
and prepared in a particular fashion. Blues and jazz are the
music of choice here, which compliments the New York night-scene
mural. You can do nothing but relax here. Situated on Jing
Cheng Road, between Da Ye and Gong Yi roads, it is really
easy to locate. Do not be put off by the tiny entranceas,
you will be surprised by what is on the other side of the
door! --By Catherine Liu, translated by Cara Steenstra.
