Taichung's
growing number of Indian cuisine fans will welcome the
addition of yet another Indian restaurant. Like Taichung's
other Indian eateries, this little, no-frills place is
also located in the Jianxing (Jian Shing) Road area, on
the alley that faces The Splendor Hotel's parking entrance
(see Compass Canal District map). Owners Ali and Waseem
are providing a good selection of very tasty, very authentic
Indian and Pakistani cuisine with main dishes going for
the cheapest prices in town. These include curry chicken,
beef, mutton, fish, shrimp and vegetable dishes, Curry
Chicken Bean, Curry Meat Ball, and Curry Bean Pot. As a
perfect complement to any dish, there is also fragrant
chapati bread and flavored brown rice available. All food
is Halal. Drinks include India Fresh Milk Tea, plus sodas,
juices and beers. Gaylord also offers take-out and delivery
service. For those driving their cars, there is free parking
for diners in the public lot just a few meters down the
lane.
