Fatty's
Cafe and Pizzeria
63, Jing Ming 1st St.
(04) 2329-0698
Hours: 11:30 am-11 pm |
Located
amongst the bustle of Tea Street (Jing Ming 1st St.), this cozy
restaurant feeds the stomach and the eyes. While you're waiting
for your food, you can check out the shoppers and fashions on
Tea Street. Once your pizza arrives, though, you'll be too busy
eating to notice anything else. Fatty's pizzas are baked in a
wood-fired oven, the crusts are thin and crunchy, and the toppings
are plentiful. Some of the more unusual pizzas (NT$250-390) are
Funghi, Kentucky (smoked chicken and corn), Alla Verdure (eggplant,
zucchini and spinach) and Prosciutto Crudo (ham, mozzarella,
tomatoes, olive oil and basil). A word of advice:have the garlic
butter from your pre-dinner bread and smear it onto the pizza
for an extra-tasty treat. If you're not in the mood for pizza,
there's a selection of pastas, side dishes, salads and desserts--natural
yoghurt, champagne grape ice cream--to keep you busy. There is
a minimum charge of NT$150.
