This is an inexpensive
and fun "bubble tea" teahouse suitable for the younger
generation. Decorated in a Chinese style, the interior has classic
wooden tables and chairs as well as an open-style Japanese space.
It is also nice outside, with the man-made landscaping. Prices start
at NT$45. Select your beverage on the drink sheet and pay for it
in advance at the order area. Black tea and milk tea come in large,
medium and small sizes and are priced from NT$45 to NT$120. The
manager strongly recommends the Fruit Jelly Drink (NT$100), with
mango, mulberry, plum, kiwi and other flavors. Made with 100-percent
pure juice and no tea flavoring, it is a cool and refreshing drink
to beat the summer heat. Tea snacks, deep-fried dishes, noodles,
rice and porridges are priced at NT$50 to NT$100. Rare in low-priced
teahouses, set course meals are available for lunch and dinner:
four dishes and one soup for NT$488 and a five-dish-one-soup special
for NT$588. - By Ann Li, translated by Yvonne Chen
