This new teppanyaki restaurant is located next to the Taiwan Museum
of Art WuChuan West Road. Restaurants are windows to our culture
and Sung Fung Sui Yueh ("pine wind water moon")--a name
that spells elegance and the spirit in which this establishment
was created--expresses the owner's feelings about the culture. The
crescent moon-shaped pond at the entrance lends to the artsy atmosphere,
giving one the impression that this is a perfect place for the gathering
of artists, writers, literary critics and intellectuals. The attention
to detail is reflected in the furnishings--wood detailing, Oriental
artwork (belonging to the owner) and antiques reflect an air of
sophistication. The restaurant has a semi-open kitchen where chefs
prepare fresh ingredients and show off their culinary skills to
diners. Their teppanyaki spread consists of bread & salad, creamy
seafood chowder, seafood platter of scallops, fresh fish and octopus,
beef steak, desserts and beverages. The restaurant serves only the
best beef--superior filet steaks imported from US and New Zealand.
Natural and fresh, the food tastes delicious, whetting the palate
and stimulating the senses. Set meals start from NT$380, seafood
sets are NT$580 and the filet set meal starts from NT$680. High
teas are served on Saturdays and Sundays, costing NT$180 and NT$280,
respectively. Reservations are advisable. -By Uvia Chang, translated
