Located on the corner with Pokuan Road, this big, open-air place is pure Taiwanese in its cuisine, appeal and atmosphere and has come to Taichung from Tainan. Able to seat well over 100 on short, dark-wood tables and chairs, the restaurant serves a big menu of evening and late-night specialties that include both well-known favorites and more specialized local items. There are several hot pot selections, ¡Zˆ:¥Z€:three cups¡Zˆ:¦ZÀ9 chicken and other dishes, fresh Japanese-style sashimi, kung pao chicken, baked beef and pork dishes, fried rice, salads, and many other things--most reasonably priced between about NT$120 and NT$200. Liberal use of bamboo decorative touches and lots of late-night business gives it a rustic, down-home Taiwanese feel.
