As the name indicates, Juan Mo' Thyme represents a reincarnation of sorts for the well-known M&M News Cafe. Thanks to the kitchen skills of John Chislett (formerly of Gringo's Mexican Restaurant), this restaurant and bar now offers a great selection of Mexican dishes, including burritos (NT$160-200), enchiladas (NT$180-200) and tacos. There are also very good German dishes like Bratwurst (NT$200), Currywurst and Jagel Schnitzel (NT$250). Besides the above kitchen hours, but the place is open much later for drinks and snacks like chips and salsa, and chili con carne. Beers range from the NT$100 Bitburger German brew to NT$200 1,000-cc Carlsberg draft, and there are frozen 'Martharitas' and plenty of other beverages. Other key features here are the massive projection satellite TV for plenty of sports, like American football (Mondays and Tuesdays), hockey (Thursdays) and soccer. There are NT$50 drinks for ladies on Wednesdays from 9 p.m. and happy hours with NT$90 drinks every night from 7 to 10 p.m.
