Taichung is filled with a variety of great food from all corners of the globe. One of the premier spots to enjoy exotic and local cuisine is the Art Museum Parkway; with its unique artsy flair and relaxing, green environment, the parkway takes on a southern European ambiance in the summer. Each of the restaurants here--from Mediterranean to Taiwanese-is unique and filled with wonderful flavors.

The shopping district of the Museum Parkway
Rich, artistic flair fills the streets and the aromas of cooking from around the world fills the air. There's no shortage of charming places to eat here.

Restaurants and cafes line Wuquan West 3rd Street and Wuquan West 4th Street in front of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts.

Founded in 1988, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts has five exhibition rooms that follow different themes, including sculptures and installation art, prints, paintings, documentary screenings, and biennial shows to name a few. The grassy square outside the museum is a nice place for family to relax with fun activities. Plus, it is adjacent to the Taichung City Government's Cultural Affairs Bureau and close to the Art Museum Parkway, making it a perfect place for you to enjoy a cultured atmosphere with a relaxed mind.

How to get to the Art Museum Parkway
By Bus
Take Renyou Bus #89, U Bus #75, or Taichung Bus #71 from Taichung Railway Station. Get off at the Museum Stop.
By Car
1. Take National Highway 1 and exit at the ZhongGang Interchange. Follow the road signs toward downtown while driving along ZhongGang (TaichungGang) Road. Make a right at WuQuan West Road and the destination is just minutes away.
2. Take National Highway 1 and exit at the Nantun Interchange. Follow the road signs toward downtown while driving along WuQuan West Road. The museum is right after MeiCun Road.

By Taiwan High Speed Rail
From the Taichung High Speed Rail station, take the shuttle bus and get off at the Tuku Parking Lot stop (WuQuan West Road/ZhongMing South Road intersection). Walk about 15 minutes in the direction of the Art Museum.
Lohas Fine Arts Parkway
To help with Taichung's LOHAS theme, the government has asked all the businesses here to encourage the three environmental goals: no smoking, no disposable chopsticks, and an increased use of handmade soap.
